"When's the best time to
call?" Most studios lock up their offices at 5 pm, we're available on line 24 hours a day, any day of the week. That's why you have our home number and why we'll answer the phone "Hello" instead of Platinum Portraits" photography. The best times to catch us live and in person are in the morning anytime after 9 am. After 6 or 7pm it's likely you'll get "the machine" and sometimes while we're out on a shoot. But do call us when you need to...when it's convenient for you. If you leave a message, let us know when's the best time to call you back and we'll return your call as soon as possible. "What should I wear?" Some photographers force you to wear a particular style or color of clothing, but not Platinum Portraits photography.  We want you
to "come as you are". That's what natural photography is all
about. So wear whatever you want; whatever makes you feel
comfortable. And rest assured, the simple white and black
backgrounds Platinum Portraits uses never go out of style and will "go"
with anything you choose to bring or wear. Multiple clothing changes
are OK, too! Some people start the session "dressed up", then go
casual, but it's entirely up to you. When you call us, we'll discuss
your special needs."How long will my session last?" For many photographers, the objective is quantity...one photographer told me he had sessions scheduled every 7 1/2 minutes. Quality photography takes a little extra time, so be prepared to give us the time it will take to get quality photos, usually an hour to an hour and half. Exactly how long will depend on a number of factors, but if you call, we can give you an estimate based on your particular needs. "What about props?"  As with clothes, many photographers limit you to props they provide or charge extra for each prop they use. Not Platinum Portraits... If you like, you can bring an item that has significance to you...a family heirloom, a favorite toy...these types of things can add meaning to a photograph. Just let us know if you have any special requests or ideas. "If I need something framed where should I go?" The matted photos you'll receive with your session package not only look great in the customized photo album, but are also ready to frame! And because they are cut to standard 8x10 frame size, they'll fit into any standard 8x10 frame. That means you can pick up ready-made frames at home decor and art & craft stores. These frames are generally inexpensive and easy to assemble yourself, so you can easily surround yourself with great photos of your family.
